Childhood Dreams

Childhood Dreams

Moon Picture: Aperture: 18, Shutter Speed: 1/320, ISO: 800, Focal Length: 300mm Levitation picture: Aperture: 11, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 200, Focal Length: 18mm Flying was a big part of my childhood whether that be in reality and planes or in dreams. I'm an adrenaline junkie, who has been recently taught so much about the moon; and I have been baffled by it.

Framed Candid

Framed Candid

Aperture: 7.1, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 25mm I wanted to show someone's expressive character without having to explain it to my viewers; I just wanted the picture to speak for itself.

Happiness Boxed

Happiness Boxed

Aperture: 5.6, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 30mm We ‘capture’ animals and ourselves in indoor comfort zones and exclude ourselves from reality. I tried to have torn up leaves, and there are gold pebbles, to emphasize more on the fakeness. This is a Monarch butterfly and like most of the creatures on earth their population is hitting low points, but as humans (and ironically) as I did we capture them, put them in museums for us to watch. ( I set it free by the way)

Brainylicious

Brainylicious

Aperture: 13, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 55mm Thinking of abstract, I thought of chemical experiments, my dad has done many things where he would send messages through chemicals and that is what I was thinking with abstract. For this one I tried painting it that way kind of like a star and also like a neuron. This to me expresses not just the brain neuron but also my thoughts and my life, it can turn out to be something beautiful or it can just be hectic.

Overflow

Overflow

Aperture: 18, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 55mm The best thing about this expressive picture to me is that the bubbles make the outside of it, no matter how perfect the straight sides of this bottle are the bubbles just outline it but go their own way and shield the bottle. Anger does that a lot too, it hides the true person behind anger.

Envenom

Envenom

Aperture: 32, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 55mm This expressive picture to me describes what it means for something to be deceiving, what it means for something to look beautiful and mysterious but is venomous, in my life and personally speaking the bubbles represent my brain and the blue ink is everything surrounding me from TV to people to just my habits that surround me that make me who I am.

Mystical

Mystical

Aperture: 18, Shutter Speed: 1/200, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 55mm This picture to me reminds me of a witch’s cauldron and there will be an image of my future in it, something that is so mesmerizing that it is hard to look away from.
